Kemence Forestry Museum Railway bemutatása

The Kemence Forestry Museum Railway is located in the north-western part of Börzsöny Mountain and is Hungary's only railway run entirely by volunteers. Its technical peculiarity is the 600 mm gauge, a rarity among passenger railways, and its so-called roller track. (The track slopes continuously towards the starting point, so gravity provides the traction in one direction.)

Since 2000, members of the Association of Friends of Narrow Gauge Railways have been restoring the railway, which was previously used exclusively for forestry purposes and was severely damaged by the flooding of the Kemence and Csarna creeks in the 1990s. Since then it has been run and improved by volunteers of the Association.
